News Digest of the Ukrainian Association of Developers June 1-7, 2024

We are pleased to present the news digest of the Ukrainian Association of Developers. In it, we briefly and without "water" tell about the most important events of the week that took place in the construction industry and the lives of UA Developers members, as well as share interesting materials from the association's members.

News of the association:

Changes to the eOselya program

The Ukrainian Association of Developers held a joint event with the Ukrainian Financial Housing Company. The focus was on the eOselya affordable lending program: emphasis on the primary real estate market and simplification of accreditation procedures for new buildings.

Digitalization of accreditation of new buildings

UA Developers presented the concept of a one-stop shop for accreditation in the eHouse program for houses under construction. Thanks to a separate digital platform, developers will be able to submit a standardized set of information and documents to banks, some of which will be pulled from existing national databases.

The best wartime leaders

Two top managers of member companies of the Ukrainian Association of Developers topped the ranking of the best wartime real estate executives by Focus magazine. Hlib Murovensky, CEO of KAN Development, and Anna Laevska, Commercial Director of Intergal-Bud, were recognized as the most effective managers of the construction market.

Barrier-free environment with Perfect Group

Oleksiy Koval, project manager at Perfect Group, a member of UA Developers, analyzed not only the social but also the economic benefits of inclusive real estate. In his column for Ekonomichna Pravda, he explains why every developer should become an ambassador of barrier-free real estate.

DIM: where the real estate market is heading

Oleksandr Nasikovsky, Managing Partner of DIM Group of Companies, also a member of the Ukrainian Association of Developers, shared the main conclusions of the DIM Talks discussion panel. In his column for Ekonomichna Pravda, he analyzed new trends and vectors of development of the domestic real estate market.

Economics and the real estate market:

New housing starts

Almost 2.2 million square meters ofresidential real estate were commissioned in Ukraine in the first quarter of 2024. According to the State Statistics Service, this is 12.2% more than was commissioned in the same period last year. The number of apartments in January-March increased by almost 25.5 thousand, which is 2.3% more than in the first quarter of 2023.

Primary housing in "eOselya"

The number of new buildings under construction where a mortgage for a new apartment can be obtained under the government program eOselya has already crossed the 100 mark. " Ukrfinzhytlo reports that 48 developers have been accredited by eHouse partner banks, and Ukrainians have purchased about 3,000 apartments on the primary market since the program's launch.

TOP-5 corruption risks in urban planning

Olena Shulyak, Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning, named the main areas containing corruption risks that hinder the development of urban planning. These include the development and approval of detailed territory plans, the provision of urban planning conditions and restrictions, the establishment of protection zones, the issuance of building passports and control over compliance with building codes.
