The Ukrainian Association of Developers joined the work of the Presidential Council for Entrepreneurship Support

The construction industry is one of the key sectors for Ukraine's economy: it creates hundreds of thousands of jobs, stimulates related sectors (materials production, transportation, finance, architecture) and attracts investments into the economy. After the outbreak of the full-scale war, construction became a strategic direction for the country's recovery, from residential infrastructure to industrial and social facilities. Therefore, the creation of stable, predictable rules of the game in this area is one of the priorities of state economic policy.

To develop effective solutions in this area, the Presidential Council for Entrepreneurship Support has a working group on construction, which brings together representatives of government agencies, business and specialized associations.

During the working group's meeting, the development sector is represented by Igor Nikonov, who is the chairman of the section. The Ukrainian Association of Developers, as a leading industry association, is included in the work of the section. 

The participants discussed further steps to improve regulatory processes in construction and create stable, transparent rules for market development. The focus of the joint work of the state and business is on the following areas:

• creating unified rules that will allow communities to receive more funds for infrastructure and social facilities;
• Improving spatial planning to reduce chaotic development and strengthen community protection;
• finding a balance between the preservation of cultural heritage and the needs of urban development;
• legislative initiatives to strengthen the protection of investors and homebuyers from the risk of long-term construction projects;
• improving the functioning of the Unified State Electronic System in the field of construction.

All the proposals are currently being considered by the working group members. Their results should form the basis for further decisions at the level of the government and relevant ministries.

The Ukrainian Association of Developers expresses its gratitude to Andriy Yermak, Chairman of the Council for Entrepreneurship Support, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, for the opportunity to join initiatives that strengthen cooperation with the state.

"The goal of our joint work is to increase the efficiency of the construction sector, develop housing construction and create conditions for providing Ukrainians with modern, high-quality housing," summarized Yevhen Favorov.

The Association will continue to participate in the development of solutions that will help restore the construction sector and create a stable system of housing development in Ukraine.

The Presidential Council for Business Support under the President of Ukraine - is a permanent advisory body established in 2024 to establish a systematic dialogue between the state and business. Its goal is to ensure transparent conditions for doing business, support domestic producers and promote the development of sectors that shape the country's economic sustainability.
