News Digest of the Ukrainian Association of Developers July 13-26, 2024

We are pleased to present the news digest of the Ukrainian Association of Developers. In it, we briefly and without "water" talk about the most important events that took place in the construction industry and the lives of UA Developers members, as well as share interesting materials from the association's members.

Women on the construction site

Yevhen Favorov, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Developers, discussed whether women can replace men in the construction industry. The key steps to overcome the staff shortage include changing gender stereotypes, specialized training programs, and the introduction of incentive systems.

Commissioning of houses from RIEL

RIEL Real Estate Corporation, a member of UA Developers, has commissioned two new buildings in Lviv. The first launch complex of the first stage of the Brama residential complex and the fifth house of the second stage of the Shengen residential complex received certificates of readiness from the SACI .

21 million for equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Riel and LUN

The Come Back Alive Charitable Foundation has closed the collection for 16 UAV control points. The final contribution to the project was made by LUN and RIEL Real Estate Corporation, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Developers. They raised over UAH 21 million out of a total of UAH 48 million during the joint "Square for a Donation " draw.

"Intergal-Bud" about the real estate market

Anna Laevska, Commercial Director of Intergal-Bud, a member of UA Developers, analyzed the work of builders during the war. In an interview with mc.today, she spoke about the adaptation of developers to market changes, the transformation of homebuyers' preferences, the work of women in construction, and the company's plans for 2024.

Artur Mkhitaryan, founder and CEO of Taryan Group, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Developers, spoke about the peculiarities of working in the context of large-scale aggression. In an interview with Focus, he analyzed the current situation in the real estate market and explained how the working conditions of Ukrainian developers have changed.

Housing for IDPs: four options

Ukraine is working on four options for solving the housing issue for IDPs, according to Olena Shulyak, chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning. Among the tools being developed are the launch of lease with the right to buy, the introduction of a special subsidy for rental housing, social rent, and the revision of the terms of the eOselya program.

Prices are rising

In June, the average price per square meter in Ukrainian new buildings increased by 1.3%, according to a study by DIM.RIA. Overall, housing prices rose by 5.9% in the first half of 2024. The highest price per square meter remains in Kyiv, with an average of UAH 55,182.
